The authenticity of our wine farm is the beautiful heritage and history that this rich soil carries. It dates back to the 1820’s which marks this farm as one of the oldest farms in the Slanghoek Valley. The first owner Johannes Coenraad Rossouw was an extraordinary farmer and he carried his pathway of success through to the next generations.
Today Lizelle Marais with her 3 children stands tall as the 8th generation farm owners, pioneering this awe-inspiring and spectacular Breëland Wine Estate into a firmly established entity. Lizelle has a passion and a vision that will ignite many generations to come. Breëland Estate is a highly focused, family driven winery, where a select range of handcrafted wines are produced. Here we nurture each cultivar to the utmost care to produce only the best of the best.
