The hiking trail at Jason’s Hill has been nominated for the Tracks & Trails category for this year’s Klink Awards.
The Tracks & Trails award goes to the most memorable outdoors experience that requires wine lovers to expend some energy on a spectacularly scenic vineyard hike, a challenging wine farm bike trail or a spirited wine route horse ride. Each outdoor adventure must also reward the hiker, biker or rider with a wine tasting experience or more.
The 6.5km trail at Jason’s Hill offers exquisite views of the Slanghoek valley with an abundance of fauna and flora to admire along the route. The trail takes between three and four hours and costs R25 per person. Depart from the Jason’s Hill Private Cellar between 8am and 11am (Monday to Friday) or between 10am and 11am on a Saturday. A minimum of two people is required and an adult must accompany children under 16. For more information on the trail contact 023 344 3256.
